Capture Team Sentiment with Targeted Pulse Surveys

Portal Origin’s Surveys module is an internal sentiment and employee pulse platform. It lets People Operations, team leads, and admins build dynamic survey forms, target specific departments or roles, configure automated expiration deadlines, collect anonymous or identified responses, and analyze results with dual public/private analytics.

Admins can target surveys organization-wide or restrict participation to specific departments (e.g. Engineering, Sales) or specific member roles. Only eligible workers see the survey in their portal and receive completion notifications.

When creating or editing a survey, admins set an open_until expiration date and time. The system enforces this deadline automatically, closing submissions and marking the survey completed once the window closes.

Yes. Each survey can be configured with strict Anonymity Controls. When enabled, responses are permanently decoupled from employee user accounts, guaranteeing confidential feedback and candid responses.

Surveys support dual analytics modes: Public Completion Metrics display aggregated participation stats and charts to employees after they complete the survey, while Private Admin Metrics provide detailed per-question distribution, respondent breakdown, and CSV data exports exclusively to authorized managers.

Admins can view real-time participation queues and dispatch targeted notification reminders in one click specifically to non-respondents without disturbing colleagues who have already completed the survey.

The survey builder supports short text inputs, multi-line paragraph text, 1-5 or 1-10 numeric scale ratings, single-choice dropdowns, and multi-select checkboxes matching Portal Origin’s clean UI design system.
